Ashutosh Gowarikar Is Still Finding Replacement Of Kiara Advani For His Ambitious Film Karram Kurram-Report
Ashutosh Gowariker is still struggling to find a heroine for Karram Kurram after Kiara Advani left the project!
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker will be donning a director’s hat for his ambitious project titled ‘Karram Kurram’, which is based on the rise of a popular FMCG chain. Actress Kiara Advani was roped in to play the lead role in the movie, however, she opted out of the project. Now as per the latest update, Ashutosh is still struggling to find her replacement, and following the same the film is getting delayed.
Last year in October, it was reported that the Kabir Singh actress has quit the project, while media reports claimed she didn’t fit the part, others stated the decision was taken by the makers as she didn’t have enough commercial standing. The exact reason for Kiara’s exit from the project is still not revealed. Though many actors were considered to play the lead and some were auditioned, the makers could not find the actress that fits the role. A source close to the development revealed to News 18 that the makers have still not finalised a star who can replace Kiara. The source did not talk much about the actress’ exit from the film but mentioned that because of her chock-o-block work schedule and other commitments, Kiara decided to opt-out.
The insider added, “The film was supposed to go on floors early this year. And then, it was pushed to sometime after Diwali. There is still a lot of ambiguity as to when the first schedule of the film is likely to begin.”The report added that a huge set will be constructed for Karram Kurram in Mumbai’s Film City that would look like a replica of the chawl in Girgaum where the women started their business. It will take a month or two to create a set like that.
Meanwhile, Kiara is gearing up for the release of her film Satyaprem Ki Katha with Kartik Aaryan.
